On behalf of our client, we are looking for a professional with a strong scientific background responsible for the marketing of diagnostics systems in infectious diseases. The position "International Product Manager Infectious Diseases" was created to support the product portfolio of established reagents and test assays and new developments.


Job description:
- Main task is to secure product quality and delivery in cooperation with global functions.
- Provide high level scientific and technical support and guidance to affiliates with regard to new product launches and product issues (CE and FDA markets).
- To plan product optimisations and new developments according to technical and pricing requirements as well as market needs.
- Prepare all necessary documentation (technical, scientific and medical) for product launches in collaboration with external business partners as well as internal cross functional business segments
- Cultivate and develop relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOL’s).
- Keep knowledge in the field of infectious diseases and immunoassays including market trends and competitive intelligence up to date.
- Travel time between 25%-30%.


Your Profile:
- PhD in Life Science or Master Degree with strong background in the area of immunology and/or infectious diseases or related areas (molecular diagnostics, virology, microbiology).
- Experience in the Life Science Industry, in a position in sales or marketing.
- Strong understanding of the test methodology and diagnosis as well as treatment of infectious diseases
- Good knowledge of general organisation and work processes in immune diagnostics or clinical chemistry are a plus.
- Business orientated and a good understanding of economics.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; capable to interact with global partners and to built up strategic relations to KOL’s and relevant organisations. Excellent knowledge of German and English.

You are either a scientist (PhD) with a strong background in the area of infectious disease and have experience within international organisations, sales experience in the market of IVD or even experience in a marketing position.
